New Year On Lockdown

How is your new year going, so far? Here in the UK, we have been on lockdown. This has been the source of distress for many people and yet I find myself increasingly enjoying a simpler, more reclusive life. Don’t get me wrong, I hugely miss seeing family and friends and sharing fun times together, but I have kept myself busy with all things art related.

That said, being this sedentary has left me putting weight on. I need to start tackling weight and fitness and so who better to inspire me than our very own Tracy White? Have you been following Tracy’s progress? Do look out for her articles.

I don’t know about you, but I can sit contentedly for hours enjoying painting, crafting, restoring / upgrading old furniture or objects, practicing piano, singing and writing. Being creatively minded is like having the abilility to go off on an adventure; exploring and discovering. Are you inclined towards art and crafts, especially during such times as lockdown due to the Covid-19 virus?

Here are a couple of examples of what I have been working on in January, thus far and you will find more at my blog site:

Here is a link to one of the artworks I have completed:

I hope that, wherever you are, you are keeping yourself, and others, safe from the Covid-19 virus. I would love to hear from you, about what you have been working on, if you are also creatively mined. Feel free to post about your own arty-crafty projects in the comments box, below.

I look forward to seeing your progress with the James Dean portrait. I love painting with my boys, I should try and take it up as I can imagine it is very relaxing and therapeutic which I need at the moment. Oh I love that song by Alison Moyet, I haven’t heard it in such a long time, you sang it beautifully. Thank you for sharing it with us.

    1. Thanks Tracy, That’s kind of you. The full slide show of the James Dean portrait is there, just keep sliding the pictures. It’s a black and white portrait, so won’t be coloured in. Alison Moyet’s song is wonderful. I simply enjoyed singing it. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Deano x
